February 5, 2012 under Know Your History

Bet most of you didn’t know that on this day in 1952 that Hall of Fame MLB player and civil rights pioneer, Jackie Robinson was named the Director of Communication of the National Broadcasting Company (yes, that NBC!). This appointment made him the first black executive of a major radio/television network.

So The Shaun says this…

All minority radio/tv execs needs to grab themselves a Jackie Robinson throwback jersey and wear it to work on this day everyday just has MLB players salute him on May 7th of every year.

KNOW YOUR HISTORY!!
