What Do YOU Want In 2012?!

THE SHAUN SAYS THIS…

The new year is upon us my friends. Many resolutions will be made (and broken). Predictions will be made (and be wrong). Yet the new year always brings to everyone the same thing… HOPE!

January 1st marks a new beginning every year and gives everyone a chance to renew themselves and their lives. The Shaun too believes this as well. It’s comparable to the start of the season and everyone starting with the same record. The hopes and promises for change are there with a newfound energy to accomplish new goals.

Many great things have happen on New Years Day.

Haiti gained its independence in 1804.

Ellis Island (the ultimate symbol of hope for incoming immigrants) was opened in 1892.

The United Nations was formed in 1942.

Oh yeah, The Shaun was born some years ago!

Back to the point at hand. 2012 will be filled with as many great moments as you make for yourself. Its up to you to make the changes ad carry the energy you have now throughout the year. Get ready for 2012 because its here.

Katt Williams may have said it best when he said you gotta “look out for your star fucking player”. Now do not get the message twisted as a message of selfishness as it is more of a message of self-satisfaction. You have to ensure you are happy with YOU! If you are not happy, it will be impoosible for you to accomplish any of your goals. We live in a world where it is so important that we help each other especially in this economic stage we are in. When we get together it is truly a great thing and a blessing. Making others happy is truly a blessing in life but only if you’re getting satisfaction in the process.

This goes for all types of relationships…love, family and work! If you are putting you all in your work and/or your relationship but getting no satisfaction from it. Adjustments need to be made…up to and including terminating that relationship with that person or job. At first it will be hard but you more than likely will see it was the best decision for you and your family.

In this busy world, we let so many things get in the way of our goals… such as losing weight or going back to school. Yet in 2012, we have ensure that we are not held back from these goals and more importantly not make excuses for not accomplishing them. We live in a world that lacks self-accountability. We often try to find other directions to point our finger. May that’s why new homes don’t have as many mirrors as they use to.

We live in a world that tries to tell us constantly that we are so fucked up and there’s something wrong with the way we look, think, dress, eat, fuck, speak, breath, cook, preach, worship, teach, learn, jump, squat, push, pull, cut, clean, carry, marry, love, like, dance, sing, yell, play, run, walk, skip, hop, type, write, blog, call, talk, create and be the person we want to be. It’s awesome to want to improve upon yourself but only if you’re happy with yourself first.

We take jobs that don’t make us happy because they pay alot.

We keep bogus ass friends because they always agree with us even when we’re wrong as hell.

We stay in bad relationships for security and to not feel alone.

The Shaun is not saying make 2012 all about YOU, but The Shaun is saying to include YOU in the process. Worry about your happiness and success ALONG (not before or after) the happiness of others. The Shaun is not out here making this motto just for you in the pretense that The Shaun has this life figured out…because that ain’t true. Just sharing what has worked for The Shaun and see if those same qualities that have made The Shaun a easier person to look in the mirror at in the morning.

Get what YOU want and need out of life in 2012. Do thing you’ve always wanted to do. Learn things you’ve always wanted to know. Love who the fuck you want to love if they truly make you happy. Do the job you’ve always wanted to do (who gives a shit what it pays). Most importantly when you find those things that make you happy…you fight like hell to keep them in your life.
